Curtis Adams - Chief Executive Officer/ Chief Investment Officer

Curtis is founder and CIO of Ovington Capital. He has over 25 years of experience within the financial industry, having commenced his career in 1985 working for Harris Government Securities in Chicago and London.

In 1991 Curtis became a proprietary trader at Mizuho Corporate Bank in London, most recently becoming Head of the bank’s highly successful Diversified Trading Group which he led since 2005 until 2010 when he left to establish Ovington Capital.

The significant success of the Diversified Trading Group was a direct result of his ability to identify, recruit and train talent, as well as create an innovative working atmosphere.

Curtis has extensive experience trading G7 markets and in addition to overall responsibility as CIO, he also manages the Ovington US fixed income portfolio.  He received a BSc in Accountancy from Miami University of Ohio.

Nick Williams - Portfolio Manager

Nick began his career in 1995 as an European repo market maker for BNP Paribas before moving on to manage a successful trading team while running his own proprietary trading book.

Nick moved to Mizuho Corporate Bank in mid 2007 to concentrate solely on proprietary trading.

Nick’s trading success stems from trading European relative value strategies where he combines his detailed market knowledge with his extensive analysis tools. He graduated from Oxford in 1995 with an MA(Hons) degree in Earth Sciences.

Michael Karstensen - Portfolio Manager

Michael began his trading career in 1997 with Bankers Trust New York. He joined Soros Fund Management New York/London in 1999 as part of the Pearlington Fund before being recruited by Mizuho Corporate Bank in 2001 as a senior trader in the Diversified Trading Group.

Michael has developed multiple trading tools and models. His success stems from his ability to combine these tools with his extensive market knowledge and identify trades with low risk / high reward profiles.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Aarhus in 1990, a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Copenhagen in 1993 and an MBA from the Yale School of Management in 1997.
